Navajo Nation Mission Trip 2012
Since the summer of 2009, teams of Moody Radio listeners from Florida have joined with World Servants on mission trips to the Navajo Nation in Arizona. The listeners and staff of Moody Radio have developed a wonderful relationship with the people in Blue Gap and Cottonwood, which draws them back to stay involved in these communities, assisting with much needed construction projects.
These mission groups have helped pour the foundation of a new church building in Blue Gap and laid the patio area for a church in Cottonwood. A group returned to Blue Gap in June 2010 and 2011 to continue the work on the church.
This coming summer 2012, another team will continue the work in Blue Gap, as well as other vital community projects. Relationship building is also a major aspect of every World Servants experience; the groups spend time with families in the community throughout the week and facilitate a Kids’ Club program for the children.
The community continues to ask about the “nice Florida folks.” They are excited to once again welcome back the team and get to know this group of people, with faces both familiar and new, during the week of June 9-16, 2012. If you have been a part of one of the previous teams, we would love to have you join us again. Perhaps you wanted to help the Navajo people in the past, but just haven’t been able to…now you have another opportunity for you get to know the beautiful people of the Navajo Nation!
