Originally from Ontario, Canada, John received his bachelor of arts in Communications from Moody Bible Institute. After working for Moody Radio in Chicago as technical producer for the morning program and host of Weekend Chicago, he joined the Florida team as a full-time announcer in 2007. Broadcast assignments have included travel to Peru, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Tuscaloosa, Ala. in response to the 2011 tornadoes. John and his wife, Stephanie, enjoy traveling, short term mission trips and visiting family in Canada.

Kate Bruington

Originally from East Hartford, Conn., Kate brings years of TV and radio experience to Moody Radio. She attended Boston Conservatory of Music and traveled the country singing before entering into broadcasting.  She is the mother of two wonderful daughters and is the grandmother of two of the most delightful grandkids on the planet. Kate’s pastimes are reading and writing. She currently spends much of her free time writing a novel she hopes will get all of us thinking about our calling as Christians and the value of human life. Kate’s favorite verse is Micah 6:8,  “And what does the Lord require of you, to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.”

Pierre Chestang

Pierre was born in San Francisco, Calif., and raised in Chicago, Ill. He is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute, where he majored in communications, and also has a B.A. in communications from Columbia College of Chicago. In November 2001, while at Moody Radio in Chicago, Pierre was asked to transfer to Florida to host their morning show. Pierre continued as host of New Day Florida until he was promoted to station manager in November 2003. 

Pierre loves to study and teach the scriptures. He remains an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls, but has come to enjoy the Gators, Magic and Bucs as well. He enjoys traveling, photography and Florida Gulf Coast sunsets. Pierre and Donata have three sons, Pierre, Raphael and Juan, and a daughter, Jahdai.

Ruth Dinwiddie

Ruth Dinwiddie, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, began her career in Cleveland with Moody Radio at WCRF, where she created a 15-minute daily program for women which aired on more than 100 stations. She also worked for Moody Radio in Chicago for 21 years, then came to Florida in 1991 as an on-air personality with the afternoon program Along the Way. After 46 years, Ruth retired her full-time position, but continues to work part-time as office support and on-air substitute. Ruth holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Shelton College and is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, where she studied Sacred Music. She sings with The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, likes to travel and enjoys a good book.

Alicia Gandre

Alicia Gandre graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1974 with a diploma in Foreign Missions. She and her husband, Wayne (who is also a Moody graduate) spent 19 years in Aruba with TEAM working in Christian radio and church ministry. After their return from the field in 1997, they moved to Florida where she worked for 12 years at Keswick Christian School. In 2009, she returned to Moody through Distance Learning and completed her B.S. in Biblical Studies in 2010. Alicia and Wayne have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two adorable grandsons.

Dan Hirschy Dan Hirschy

Dan Hirschy grew up in Lansing, Mich., and has a bachelors degree from the Wolverine school. He also took the Bible course at Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music. He has been employed in live Christian broadcasting since the late 1990's.

Born and raised in Anoka, Minn., John served with Moody Radio in the Quad Cities area as chief engineer since 2009 and joined Moody Radio in Florida in 2014. John received a bachelor's degree from Trinity International University, spent two years at Dallas Theological Seminary and did two years of graduate work at Roosevelt University. John has won many awards such as the Windy award for co-producing a radio commercial, the 1990 Silver Dome Award for Excellence in Broadcasting and Best Major Market Radio Commercials. He is certified by the Society of Broadcast Engineers. John and his wife, Janell, have been married since 1979 and have two children and two grandchildren.
 Andrew Leuthold

Andrew claims Atlanta, Ga., as his hometown, where he spent his growing up years in a pastor’s home. He received degrees in broadcasting from Bob Jones University and worked for nearly 10 years at WXIA-TV in Atlanta. He joined the Moody Broadcast Team at WAFS in Atlanta, first in a part-time basis as a weekend and “fill in” announcer and then full time as Production Director and eventually host of the morning show. More recently, he spent nearly 8 years at a Moody Affiliate station in Montgomery, Ala., as Operations Manager and Morning Show Host. He and his wife, Miriam, enjoy spending time playing games, eating pizza and watching movies with their two children, Nathan and Abigail.

Ron Maxwell

After coming to Christ and being called to Christian radio, Ron Maxwell launched his career in 1984 as an on-air personality at WSOR. Today he continues to share his talents as program director of Moody Radio and host of New Day Florida. Ron and his wife, Mayda, enjoy short-term missions. They love living close to Florida's Gulf coast and their five beautiful grandchildren.

Glen Schultz

Glen Schultz
News Announcer, Traffic Reporter | New Day Florida

Originally from Milwaukee, Wis., Glen came to Florida with his parents in 1972. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in political science and has a secondary social science degree. Eight years later, the Lord opened the door to broadcast media in an on-air position with a fledgling talk station. He joined the Salem Communications team in Tampa before coming to Moody Radio in 2008. When he’s not writing a children's book, he and his wife, Holly, enjoy time with their son, Ryan, and daughter, Jesse.

Mark Simpson Mark Simpson

Originally from the Akron-Canton area in Ohio, Mark grew up listening to Moody Radio's WCRF in Cleveland. He attended Toccoa Falls Bible College in Toccoa, GA before receiving his B.A. in Broadcast Communications from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. He brings years of experience in both radio and TV and joined Moody Radio in October 2005. Mark has a passion for missions and has been a team member or leader on many foreign short-mission trips with his church. Mark and his wife Karen have two married children, Andrew and Andrea, and one granddaughter. Visiting them in Illinois and Colorado is so much fun!
Bob Swatland Bob Swatland
Business Development Representative 

Bob and his wife Barbara moved from Chicago to Florida in early 1999. After joining Starkey Road Baptist Church, Bob accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and was baptized in August of 2000. After attending the remarkably effective Crown Financial Ministries small group study, he began to volunteer for Crown and was invited to become Area Director for Tampa Bay in 2007. Bob was in sales and marketing for 40+ years, representing a number of different companies domestically with some international sales experience as well. He is an experienced small group leader, small group leader trainer, Money Map Coach, retreat and conference speaker, certified vocational consultant and seminar instructor as well.
Alan Winfield

Meteorologist

Alan received his bachelor's degree in meteorology from Penn State University and his master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, earning him the American Meteorological Seal. He started his TV career at the NBC affiliate in Tulsa, then went on to WTVR-TV in Richmond, Va.; KSTW in Seattle, Wash., and Bay News 9 in Tampa, Fla. He joined Moody Radio in April 2002. Alan also has a master of divinity degree from Trinity Theological Seminary. He serves as associate pastor at North Dunedin Baptist Church and is author of Lord Of The Skies. Alan and his wife, Pam, have a son, Austin.
