Friday, July 30 in Lakeland

This Friday, July 30, you’re invited to join New Day Florida co-host Kate Bruington in Lakeland at the Florida Baptist Children's Homes as she collects backpacks for orphaned and needy children. 

Bring one or more backpacks and you can have a “cup of coffee with Kate.”  These backpacks will then be filled with a Bible, hygiene kit, and a cuddly toy bear, and be given to orphaned and needy children in Haiti and Florida. 

Backpacks of all sizes and colors are needed.  Bring at least one Friday, July 30, between 6:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to Florida Baptist Children's Homes
, 1015 Sikes Boulevard, in Lakeland.

Steve Krumlauf is host of Prime Time Florida. A native of Michigan, he began his broadcasting career in TV while a senior in high school. Since that time he has anchored TV news, sports, weather and every major radio music format. Steve has served in Christian radio for the last 20 years. He has a lifelong interest in aviation and aspires to one day be a pilot. Steve and his wife, Susan, have two daughters.
